Talking about his first Gujarati song musician Badshah says, "I am very grateful that Genda Phool received such a heart-warming response, we were constantly being asked by fans/followers to make Gujarati version of the song. I love Gujarati culture, food, and especially the language, so here we are with a Gujarati version with the very talented Bhoomi on the vocals. Looking forward to the audience's reaction."
Singer Bhoomi Trivedi added,"Genda Phool came to my notice & It poisoned me so much that I kept playing it on loop. I never imagined the Gujarati Version would come to me, & I was so much excited to be a part of Genda Phool Gujarati version specially after I heard Badshah’s “baaki baatein” rap. I sing it during my shows too. I absolutely Love his work & Art & specially his writing skill, it grabbed my attention & how. Today I get to sing Gujarati version & I am so grateful to Badhshah & Sony team for making me a part & represent Gujarat . It’s a matter of pride.
From writing to recording myself to creating a set , to selecting costume, to production to creating a set, to hair 'n' make-up , setting up a frame and shooting all by myself during the lockdown period it was challenging but too interesting."
Badshah has delivered the maximum number of hits with Sony Music India and Genda Phool marks yet another milestone. It is proving to be a game-changer and potentially marks a new era for Badshah.
